Terms of Service

Effective date: 15th Aug 2026 · Last updated: 15th Aug 2026

Welcome to PaisaSafeX, an AI-powered fraud awareness and scam protection application designed to help users identify potentially fraudulent calls, SMS messages, websites, and other digital threats.

By downloading, installing, or using the PaisaSafeX Android application ("the App") or this website, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App and this website. If you are setting up the App on behalf of a family member — for example, a parent — please make sure they are aware of and agree to these Terms as well.

1. About PaisaSafeX

PaisaSafeX uses pattern-based rules and AI-assisted analysis to help you recognize calls and messages (SMS, WhatsApp, and Telegram) that show characteristics commonly associated with financial fraud in India — including digital arrest scams, fake KYC requests, OTP theft, and UPI payment fraud. Our goal is to give you a clearer, faster picture of potential risk so you can make a more informed decision in the moment. PaisaSafeX is designed to support your own judgment — it is not, and does not claim to be, a substitute for it.

2. Disclaimer — Please Read Carefully

PaisaSafeX is a protective aid, not a guarantee of safety. Please understand the following before relying on it:

  • No detection system is 100% accurate. PaisaSafeX may fail to detect a genuine scam (a "false negative"), and may occasionally flag a legitimate call or message as suspicious (a "false positive"). Scam tactics also constantly evolve, and PaisaSafeX's ability to recognize new tactics depends on ongoing updates.
  • Always verify independently, regardless of what PaisaSafeX shows you. Never share an OTP, UPI PIN, CVV, password, or send money based only on a caller's or sender's claim — even if PaisaSafeX does not show a warning. The absence of a warning is not confirmation that a call or message is genuine.
  • Technical limitations exist and are outside our control. Depending on your Android version, device manufacturer, and whether PaisaSafeX holds the default call-screening role on your device, certain information (such as a caller's phone number) may not always be available to the App.
  • PaisaSafeX is not an emergency service. If you believe you are the victim of fraud, contact your bank directly using the number printed on your card or their official app, contact your telecom provider if your SIM or number is involved, contact local law enforcement, and report to India's National Cybercrime Helpline at 1930 or online at cybercrime.gov.in.

3. No Official Affiliation

PaisaSafeX is an independently developed application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of any bank, financial institution, telecom operator, payment provider, police department, government agency, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), or any other official body. Any reference within the App to scam categories involving these entities (for example, "fake bank customer care" or "digital arrest") describes the scam tactic being detected — it is not a claim of association with the real entity being impersonated by scammers.

4. Your Responsibilities

By using PaisaSafeX, you agree that you will:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes, and not to harass, harm, deceive, or surveil another person without their knowledge and consent
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
  • Not upload or transmit malicious content through the App
  • Not submit false or misleading reports, or misuse any community-reporting features, if and when such features become available
  • Keep the App updated to the latest version for the best protection
  • Report bugs or security vulnerabilities to us responsibly, rather than exploiting them
  • Take responsibility for your own decisions — including any financial transaction, information shared, or action taken — whether or not PaisaSafeX issued a warning
  • Review the permissions you grant the App in your device settings, and make sure a family member understands what the App does and does not do if you set it up on their behalf

5. No Financial Advice

PaisaSafeX does not provide financial, banking, legal, or investment advice. Any alert, explanation, or recommended action shown by the App is general safety guidance only, and should not be treated as professional advice for your specific situation. For financial or legal decisions, please consult a qualified professional or your bank directly.

6. AI-Assisted Analysis

Some messages are analyzed using automated risk models and a third-party AI service to help determine fraud risk. Before this happens, PaisaSafeX removes obvious sensitive content (such as OTPs, card numbers, and account numbers) where technically possible. AI-generated alerts are informational and probabilistic — they should not be treated as conclusive evidence that a call or message is, or is not, fraudulent. Please see our Privacy Policy for full detail on what data is processed and how.

7. Third-Party Services

PaisaSafeX may reference or rely on information obtained from third-party sources and services (including AI analysis providers) to help assess risk. We do not control, and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of, information from third-party sources.

8. Limitation of Liability

PaisaSafeX is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PaisaSafeX, its developer, owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including but not limited to:

  • Financial losses or unauthorized transactions
  • Identity theft
  • Missed scam detections or incorrect alerts
  • Service interruptions
  • Loss of data

arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, or from reliance on the App's alerts or analysis. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability in a manner not permitted under applicable Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

9. Eligibility & Account

You must comply with applicable Indian law and Google Play policies when using PaisaSafeX. The App does not currently require account creation, and does not knowingly collect information from children in a manner inconsistent with applicable law. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, please contact us using the details below.

10. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, software, graphics, logos, and content within PaisaSafeX are owned by, or licensed to, PaisaSafeX. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without prior written permission.

11. Availability & Changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App. Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, and we may update the App to improve security, functionality, detection accuracy, or compliance — sometimes without prior notice. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page; continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Subscriptions & Premium Features

PaisaSafeX's core protection features are currently free to use. If premium or subscription features are introduced in the future, their pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms will be clearly presented to you before any purchase.

13. Termination

You may stop using PaisaSafeX at any time by uninstalling the App. You can also delete your locally stored app data at any time via Settings → Clear All My Data within the App, or by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page. We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the App if these Terms are violated, or if your use of the App poses a risk to other users or to the service.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at District Court Complex, Surajpur, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh – 201306, India.
